Job Summary:
Household Environmental is seeking a motivated and reliable Water & Fire Damage Technician to join our dedicated team. As a Water & Fire Damage Technician, you will be responsible for providing prompt, professional restoration services to clients affected by water and fire damage. You will play a critical role in mitigating property damage and ensuring a safe and efficient restoration process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond quickly to emergency situations involving water and fire damage.
- Assess the extent of water or fire damage and create a plan for restoration.
- Extract water, clean up debris, and remove damaged materials.
- Set up drying equipment and monitor progress throughout the restoration process.
- Perform fire damage restoration services, including smoke and soot removal.
- Clean and deodorize affected areas to eliminate fire, smoke, and water odors.
- Document the work performed, including before and after photos, for insurance claims.
- Work closely with homeowners, insurance adjusters, and other team members to ensure successful project completion.
- Adhere to industry safety protocols and company standards at all times.
- Maintain equipment and vehicles in good working condition.
- Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours emergencies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in water, fire, or mold damage restoration preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- IICRC certifications (e.g., WRT, ASD, FSRT) are a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
